This is Aiji, the benzite, out for a walk on her holodeck with bodyguard Grudyiv and terran feline Sugar. (The cat's a boy, you know aliens, naming conventions aren't quite the same. She tried.)

Aiji is an information broker and has her own small station build into an asteroid in some unmarked system- since you're not supposed to be able to find her, of course! It's quite a nice self sustaining little environment, if pretty small.Given there's only ever at most four sapient lifeforms on the station at a time not much is needed to be comfortable.

No, Aiji and Grudyiv are not an item, she just insists on the company of a gentleman whenever she leaves her office. There is a great deal of platonic affection between them, however, since they're usually the only two sapient individuals on the station (there's a bit of a complicated past for them too but I won't bore you).

Grudyiv is always silent with guests when they do come around, even with Aiji he isn't very talkative, but she likes it that way. Quiet and loyal.
