Annnd this is what I did all weekend instead of homework. o/
Not everyday’s a shit-eating grin sort of day, sometimes you get that melancholy that not even groping a dabo girl’s butt will fix. Spheina gets them fairly often, really, but she just does’t show it as often as she feels it. Girl just feels lonely but is too guarded to remedy it. She’s crotchety in order to keep people at a distance, even her best bud which she helped get off Ferenginar- there’s a distance there no matter how much she loves that fool.
Spheina’s a complicated soul wrapped up in a body with the tact and attitude of an angry wet cat.

Another awesome illustration. Love the jewelry details, but I think what makes this is the pensive expression on her face. I like that you actually didn't draw people around her at other tables. When you feel sad inside, it becomes very easy to block those around you out, and this picture gives you the feeling of being drawn into that same lonely inside-of-yourself...feeling. UGH WORDS. ELISE LIKE.
